Arts Illiana presents 200 years on
the Banks of the Wabash celebrating
the Bicentennial of Terre Haute. The exhibit will be held July
1–September 23. My painting Wabash River has been chosen
for the show. The opening reception will be Friday evening July 1,
6-9 pm, as part of the Terre Haute First Friday events.
Noblesville Main Street presents:
Dinner from the Market Thursday evening July 7, 5-8 pm in the Visitor's Center outdoor walkway on the
Square. The meal is created by an award-winning chef with items from
the Farmer's Market. The attendees will enjoy music by John Gilmore
and art by Judith Lynn Smith.
River City Art Association presents its Indiana Bicentennial Show at theVigo County Library during the month of July. The members will exhibit artwork celebrating Terre Haute and Indiana's Bicentennial year, as well as Indiana State Parks centennial year. The library will host an artists' reception from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 1, in the lobby as part of Downtown Terre Haute's First Friday events. The exhibition is RCAA's Bicentennial Legacy Project, endorsed by the Indiana Bicentennial Commission. It is informative and educational with a focus on the state river, song, tree, bird and notable people, places and events in Terre Haute and Indiana's history. It also highlights Indiana's four seasons, reflects the importance of preserving Indiana's past and its natural resources for the future, and impresses upon the viewers history's lasting influence in the visual arts. My piece in the show is Indiana Dunes.
The Reflected Light Art Exhibition
will be held
at the Bread of Life Church in
Avon. The exhibition with music and hors d'ouvres will be
Friday evening July 15, 6-9 pm. My abstracts Reaching, Focus,
Upward, and
Waterfall will be on exhibit.
This is a wonderful show with a variety of styles and mediums –
highly creative and talented artists participate each year.
RCAA Annual Juried Show will be
held at the First Financial Bank downtown lobby at 6th and
Wabash in Terre Haute. The reception and awards ceremony will be
Friday evening, August 5. There will be refreshments and harp music
by Amy Auset Rohn. The artwork will be on display through August 27.
The work will include oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, drawing,
photography and mixed media. I will enter my oil paintings:
Sailboat at Sunset, Mountain View, and Sun at Sea.
Hamilton County Artists Association's
exhibit: Artist's Choice/Artists Choose will be held August
4-26. The opening reception will be held
Friday evening, August 5 at 6:30 pm. The member artists of HCAA will
submit their favorite paintings – and the award winners will be
chosen by the artists during the reception. My paintings Wine &
Fruit, Fruit & Wine, and Racing the Storm will be in
the show.
The
annual Art Fair on the Square in Noblesville will be
held Saturday August 6, 9am-5 pm. Enjoy charming historic downtown
with juried artists, all painting mediums, sculpture, pottery,
jewelry, more. Art experience for kids. Food available. Admission is
always free. Donations are always welcome. Brought to you by the
Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission and the Hamilton County Artists
Association. I will be exhibiting paintings at the HCAA tent as well
as enjoying the activities of the day.
HCAA Indiana Landscapes will be on exhibit at the Fishers Town Hall August 8 through September 24. The reception will be held Friday August 12, 6-8 pm. The show is part of the Indiana Bicentennial Celebration. My paintings Forest Stream, Sugar Creek, and Along the Wabash will be on exhibit.
The 33rd Annual Indiana Wildlife Artists Juried Show will be held on the 3rd Floor Atrium of Second Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis, August 27-September 29. The reception and awards ceremony will be Saturday August 27 at 4-6 pm. The exhibit will include two and three-dimensional artwork in a variety of media and styles depicting a wide range of wildlife, both flora and fauna. The exhibit is judged by expert representatives of the Fine Arts and Wildlife Naturalist profession. It is an excellent concentration of artistic talent dedicated to the preservation, understanding and promotion of wildlife and wildlife fine art. My paintings Trumpeter Swan, Canadian Goose, and Brown Pelican will be in the show.
